Southern Mindfulness Institute

Our mindfulness training classes fuse ancient philosophies with modern psychology and neuroscience. We offer instruction in a variety of techniques - breath attention, daily mindful exercises and the purposeful movement of walking meditation and mindful movement.

Through a variety of formal practices, the carefully developed programs will guide you in cultivating present moment awareness. Present moment awareness is key to developing greater clarity, helping you to recognize negative patterns of reactivity, conditioned behavior and unproductive thoughts. The techniques employed are secular and compatible with any faith tradition.

 

Mindfulness 101

We start at the beginning. We meet you where you are and we guide you toward clarity, resiliency and well being. 

Workshops

Lasting between a half day to two days, our workshops can introduce mindfulness into your organization, school or group. All workshops can be tailored to fit the specific needs of the client.

Immersions

We can create an immersive experience at your location or work with you to customize a day to one week retreat for your team.

We participate in retreats, conferences and symposiums throughout the US. Staying abreast of cutting edge science and best practices allows us to provide the very best service to our clients and our community.
